Meine Suche nach verpackungsfreien/plastikfreien Essen und Getränken ging heute weiter.
Ich war heute bei ein paar Discountern zu schauen, wieviel man dort besorgen kann. Für mich als Student ist es nicht nur wichtig das meine Nahrungsmittel plastikfrei verpackt sind, sondern es ist mir auch wichtig, das ich kein Vermögen dafür bezahlen muss. Deshalb muss ich häufig einen Kompromiss zwischen gesundem Biolebensmitteln und plastikfreien konventionellen machen.
Heute war ich bei Aldi, Netto und Budni, gekauft habe ich folgendes:
Bei Aldi kaufe ich immer unser Katzenfutter (0,49€/ 400g Dose), da es hier zuckerfrei und günstig ist. Außerdem habe ich dort heute unser Lieblingspesto (1,19€/190g) im Glas, Kartoffeln (1,95€/1,5kg) in Pappe verpackt und Kokosnussmilch (0,99€/ml) in der Dose entdeckt.
Bei Netto habe ich Apfelsaft in der Flasche (0,89€/Liter), Erdbeermarmelade (1,99€/275g), Mais, Ajvar (1,49€/340g), Schokopudding (1,79€/375g), Essig Essenz (1,25€/400g) und Ahornsirup (3,99€/250ml) im Glas entdeckt. Außerdem Erdnüsse (0,65€/200g) und Cashewnüsse (1,79€/150g) in der Dose und unverpackten Kohlrabi (0,29€) und kompostierbares Backpapier (0,95€).
My search for plastic free food and drink has go one today.
I was at a few discounters today to look how much plastic free or zero waste food and drink you can buy there. For me as student it is not only important that my food is packaged plastic free, it´s also important that´s not too expensive. So I have to make a compromise between healthy organic and plastic free conventional food.
Today I was at Aldi, Netto and Budni (a drugstore).
At Aldi I always buy the cat food (0,49€ per tin), because it is without sugar and cheap. Besides I found there our favourite pesto (1,19€/190ml) in glass, potatoes in cardboard (1,95€/1,5kg) and coconut milk in a can (0,99€/400ml).
At Netto I found apple juice in glass bottles (0,89€/litre + 0,15€ deposit per bottle and 2,40€ deposit per crate), jam (1,99€/275g), corn, maple syrup (3,99€/250ml), vinegar essence (1,25€/400g), ajvar (1,49€/340g) and chocolate pudding (1,79€/375g) in glass. Besides peanuts (0,65€/200g) and cashew (1,79€/150g) in tin, kohlrabi (0,29€) and compostable baking paper (0,95€).
At Budni I bought a vegan smoothie (1,40€/280ml), chocolate/nut/coconut spread (3,99€/250g) and Indian curry sauce (2,49€/325ml) in glass and …Oh my Gosh!! My first and hopefully last plastic packaged thing for the next days.. I had to buy some toilet paper, and despite in fact that I was in 4 different shops, I don´t found a plastic free one or one with compostable plastic. So I decided to do good at least and bought a toilet paper for 2,99€ (this one) that helps to build toilets all over the world.

Psst: Konservendosen sind heute leider in der Regel innen mit Kunststoff ausgekleidet, um das Rosten zu verhindern! Da die Lebensmittel zur Konservierung in der Dose erhitzt werden, ist hier die Belastung mit Chemikalien aus dem Plastik leider oft besonders hoch!

Hey Pip,
ja das stimmt leider, das Problem habe ich auch schon erkannt (siehe Post vom Tag 3 😉 ). Bei den vier Produkten in Dosen von Tag 2 (Nüsse, Katzenfutter und Kokosnussmilch) wusste ich schon vorher das diese bei den gewählten Anbietern innen ohne Plastikbeschichtung sind. Bei Mais zum Beispiel ist nach meinen Erfahrungen die Dose immer von innen mit Plastik beschichtet, weshalb ich diesen im Glas gekauft habe.
